Computerized contact lens to display data like emails & text messages

Recently this article came to my attention about some new technology and thought it deserved some mention.

"Those science fiction movies may be closer to fact than fantasy, according to researchers at the University of Washington and Aalto University, in Finland, who are developing a computerized contact lens that could be used to display data — like emails and text messages — right in front of your eyes."

This may seem a little frightening to us but the younger generations are more likely to embrace new technology than us older folk. I look at technology from this perspective; if it will help me achieve more in a day, organize, reduce operating costs or reduce the stress of a busy worklife, then I'll take a second look! Just tell me its safe.

For now I am content with checking my email on my iphone and laptop. What are your thoughts?
